Refund policy

 

We offer a 14-day return period, meaning you have 14 days from the date of delivery to request a return.


Your Right to Cancel

Under UK consumer law, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your item.

To exercise this right, you must notify us within this period. You then have a further 14 days to return the item.

Items should be returned in a condition that reflects reasonable handling. We reserve the right to make a deduction from your refund if the value of the goods has been reduced due to excessive handling.


Eligibility for Returns

For returns outside your statutory cancellation rights (e.g. goodwill returns), items must be:

  • Unused and in their original condition

  • In original packaging

  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

We cannot accept returns that show signs of use, damage, or mishandling after delivery.


How to Start a Return

To initiate a return, please contact us at returns@kitchboom.com.

Returns must be authorised before being sent back. Items returned without prior approval may not be accepted.

Once approved, we will provide instructions for returning your item.


Return Costs

A return fee of £3 may be deducted from your refund to cover return shipping.

This fee does not apply where:

  • The item is faulty

  • The item is damaged in transit

  • We have sent the wrong item


Damaged or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order upon arrival.

If your item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us as soon as possible at returns@kitchboom.com, including:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Photographic evidence

We will resolve the issue promptly, including offering a replacement or full refund where appropriate.


Processing Time

Once your return is received, please allow up to 7 working days for inspection and processing.

You will be notified once your refund has been issued.


Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return unless faulty:

  • Bespoke or personalised products

  • Used items

  • Items not returned in original packaging

  • Clearance items

This does not affect your statutory rights.


Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

The quickest way to receive a different item is to return your original purchase and place a new order.


Holiday Returns

Orders placed between 1 December and 31 December may be returned up to 31 January.

All standard return conditions apply.


Refunds

Refunds will be issued to your original payment method:

  • Card payments – within 5 working days of processing (may take up to 14 days depending on your bank)

  • PayPal – refunded to your PayPal account

  • Gift cards – refunded as store credit

Original delivery charges will be refunded where required under applicable law.


Fragile Items

Please ensure fragile items are returned securely in their original packaging.

We may refuse returns that arrive damaged due to inadequate packaging.


International Orders

We are unable to refund any import duties, taxes or customs charges.

Only the value of the returned goods will be refunded.
